Frances S. Riley

Frances Stone Riley, 91, of Newark Valley, went home to be with her Lord on March 21, 2013.Fran is survived by her step-daughters: Rebecca (David) Maney, Patricia (Donald) Brake and Rosewitha Goossens-Winter; their families and several devoted nieces and nephews. Fran was born on Feb, 5, 1922 and was raised in the Binghamton area. She was predeceased by her parents, Hubert A. and Lenora Stone, her husband Wilbur Riley, her step-son, Stephen Riley, several siblings and most recently her brother and sister-in-law Carl and Beverly Stone. Fran was a graduate of Harpursville Central School, class 1939; received her BS degree (Bible and Theology) from Omaha Baptist Bible College and dedicated her life to teaching and counseling in Christian Colleges and High Schools as well as Bible Missionary work. She was a faithful and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Newark Valley. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Newark Valley. Pastor Ben Baker will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Ninevah Cemetery. Those who wish are asked to kindly direct memorials to the Baptist Missionaries of her church in memory of Frances Riley.
