Floyd E. Fredenburg

Floyd E. Fredenburg, 89, of Nichols, NY passed away on March 9, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, George Fredenburg and Anna Smith; brothers Daniel, Don, and George; half-brother Paul Nichols; daughter-in-law Tammi Fredenburg; and sons Lloyd and Michael Fredenburg. He is survived by his children Joanna (Jerry) Darrow; Gregory (Pamela) Fredenburg; Kenneth (Jennifer) Fredenburg; Edwin, Jeffrey, and Tim Fredenburg; Edward, Floyd, and Fred Neal; sister Betty Fredenburg; half-brother Doug Nichols; half-sister Martha Smith; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces nephews and cousins. Floyd served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his time in the service, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Max Cohen Scrap Metal in Athens for over 37 years. When he wasn't working, Floyd could be found hunting, mowing his lawn, or puttering around his house. Floyd was a home body- there was no place he would rather be. Above all else, Floyd loved his family and especially enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, on Friday, March 12th from 2-4pm, at which time a celebration of his life will be held.
