Everett L. Perry Orange City, FL Everett L. Perry died in Florida at the age of 102 on March 1, 2014. He is survived by his daughter Joanne R. Carrozza and her husband, Vince, granddaughters: Deborah (Jim) Phalen, Linda M. Niles, Sandra L. (Ed) Zogg, Elizabeth J. (David) Mustard, 12 great grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Margaret Tammen Perry on Aug 15, 2012. Born on June 20, 1911 in Warsaw, NY, he was the son of Mae Barbara (Kemmitzer) and Lawrence R. Perry. He graduated from Warsaw High School and continued his studies at the University of Rochester, graduating in 1938, with further studies at Colgate-Rochester Divinity School and completed his Doctorate from the University of Chicago. He worked for the Board of National Missions of the Presbyterian Church and was known as the best research and survey man in the country." At the time of his retirement, he was head of the National Office of Field Survey. Mr. Perry was an accomplished violinist performing with several orchestras in the US and Europe. He was also an avid reader with a broad spectrum of interests. A Memorial Service for Everett and Margaret will be held at 4 PM on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley. Rev. James Phalen will officiate. Final resting place will be in Warsaw, NY. Memories may be written in his guest book at macphersonfh.com
