Evelyn M. Ledesma

Evelyn M. Ledesma, 78, passed away on June 22, 2010 following a long illness. Born on Feb. 16, 1932 in Newark Valley, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Marie (Tanner) Moshier and sister of the late Richard, Donald and Emma Moshier. She was also predeceased by her son Dale Underwood, her first husband Gerald Underwood, granddaughter Elizabeth and daughter-in-law, Martha Underwood. Evelyn is survived by her sons Norman Underwood, Gary (Wendy) Underwood, and Timothy (Christine) Underwood, her sisters Betty Bentley, Violet (Ken) Stanton, Mary Hillis, Jane (Bill) Pietri, 7 Grandchildren Ron, Amber, Tiffany, Lyndsy, Kaelynn, Dawson, and Laine, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and several nieces,nephews, and cousins. Evelyn was a member of the Owego Congregations of Jehovah Witnesses. She was devoted to her family, enjoyed being with her many friends, was kind to all and will be greatly missed.Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation on Monday June 28th, at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley from 11am to 1PM at which time a Celebration of Evelyn's Life will be held with Dan Perry officiating.
