Eva May Roat, 88, of Endicott, went home to be with her Lord on July 28, 2018. She will be greatly missed by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Marilyn Roat, her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and George Winchell and her many nieces and nephews. Eva was predeceased by her parents Harold and Edith Roat and sister Dorothy Hafey. Eva was a devoted member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Campville and a retired employee of IBM, Endicott where she had diligently worked for more than 30 years. She was full of life and constantly busy traveling, meeting new people all over the world, researching countless hours on family genealogy, tending to her beautiful flowers beds and landscaping at her home. But, her most treasured times were spent with her family and at her church. Evas family would like to extend a very special Thank You to all the staff at Elizabeth Church Manor for the kindness and loving care provided to Eva. Family and friends are invited to call at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St Newark Valley on Thursday, Aug. 2nd from Noon until 2 oclock at which time a Celebration of Her Life will begin. Her final resting place will be in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery, Berkshire.
