Esther A. Quick

Esther A. Quick, 91, of Williston, Fl, formerly of Berkshire, NY, passed away at the home of her daughter Doris on April 21, 2009 following a period of declining health. Esther is survived by her daughters, Illa M. Quick, Doris V. Quick, Ann Q. Cuccurello, Elaine A. Sanders , Nancy Jo (Lawrence) Koch, sons, Arthur T. Quick, Gary L. (Isabel) Quick, 18 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, David F. and Esther (Erwin) OBrien, her husband Arthur Sky Schyler Quick, her son, Phillip Quick , 2 grandsons and several siblings.Esther was born on April 29, 1917 in Moravia, NY. She was a graduate of Millard Fillmore High School in Moravia and was a long-time resident of Berkshire, NY, residing on West Creek Rd. Esther was a devoted mother, loved her grandbabies and was an excellent cook who also enjoyed canning and freezing. She took great pleasure in feeding and watching birds and planting flowers. She relocated to Florida to be with her children in 2005.Family and friends will gather at Evergreen Cemetery in Berkshire at 11 am on Monday, April 27 for a service. Rev. James T. Willard will officiate. The Cooley Family of MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, is assisting with arrangements.
