Ernest E. Thompson, Jr

Ernest E. Thompson, Jr. June 23, 1923 July 4, 2013 Ernest E. Thompson Jr. passed away in Spring, Texas on the Fourth of July, 2013, ten days after celebrating his 90th birthday. He joins his wife June in the Kingdom of Heaven. He leaves to honor his memory his children, Sherrie Rosenbarker (Vin), Ernest E. Thompson III (Nancy), Jayne Thompson (Ken), Joan McKiernan (Michael), Carol Tita (John) and Carolyn Sterling, his sister, Eleen Martin, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, many of whom were fortunate enough to share Fathers Day and his milestone birthday with him. Ernie served in the U.S. Army in the European theater of World War II and was a proud retiree of IBM Endicott (42 years). He was also active in several fraternal and charitable organizations, but most of all, he was a great dad. His earthly remains will return to Newark Valley on August 5. We love you and miss you. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Hope Cemetery, Newark Valley on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11 AM. Military Honors will be accorded.
