Eric W. Brown

Surrounded by those he loved, Eric W. Brown, 51, of Allen Drive, Cortland passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Eric was born on July 12, 1963 in Cortland, NY son of Richard and Sandra (Talcott) Brown. He was a graduate of Newark Valley High School class of 1981. Eric was a talented artist, had a great passion for cooking and shared many hours coaching little league and basketball to area youth. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.Eric will be missed by his wife Melissa Brown, son Brandyn Brown; daughters Alexis Brown (Brian Allen); Alexis Henson; granddaughter Jada father and step mother Richard and Dawn Brown; sisters: Doreen (Colen) Hill; Shannon (Matt) Tracy; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and Melissas extended family also survive. Eric was predeceased by his mother Sandra (Talcott) Brown. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Sunday, December 7th from 2-4 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. A service celebrating his life well lived will be held at 4pm.
