In her down time, she rode and trained the horses, one of which was a Mustang. She had a love for animals and a special talent working with wild birds. Betsy participated in various horse shows and 4H events, and was known for her prize beef. Her first car was a Thunderbird, and she developed a love for old cars- the longer the better. In high school, Betsy would DJ in the gym -spinning records of rock n' roll top 40 provided by her mom from Gino's jewelry store. She was very creative, and enjoyed working with ceramics and making dolls with beautiful dresses out of repurposed yesteryear clothing. One of Betsy's hobbies was searching out and collecting rare turquoise rings in the southwest. She also loved to collect and read knights and dragons books. Above all else, Betsy treasured her family. She was a proud grandmother, never missing a football game or cheerleading event. Some of her fondest memories were trips to the beach with family. She also enjoyed many outings with her sister, as well as trips with her special friend Christine Tottey. Betsy always looked forward to attending rabbit shows with Christine and her granddaughter Brady. A fondly loved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Betsy will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.Betsy's family would like to extend a special thank you to James and Cathi Root for helping their mother whenever they could and their support during this time of loss.
