Edward Lee Head

Edward L. Head, 71, of Newark Valley passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from a long illness. Ed was born in 1950 in Ithaca, NY a son of the late Lee "Bill" and Elizabeth "Betty" (Brind) Head. He was a graduate of the Newark Valley High School class of 1969. Ed was well known for his long musical career in the popular local band Sleepy Head. Ed is survived by his wife Margaret "Peggy" Head; his sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Jessica Head, Jason Head and Traci Tullius, Aaron, and Amanda Head; his grandchildren: Nadia, Acadia, Riley, Hollis, and Everett; his brother and sister-in-law: Michael Head and Linda Warner. Three nieces and their families also survive. Ed was predeceased by his parents Lee and Elizabeth Head; his sisters Trudy (John) Lusk and Linda Head. MacPherson funeral home is assisting the family.
