He was predeceased by his son Edward IV on May 8, 2020. Edward was born in Peekskill, NY on May 1, 1961 to the late Edward Jr. and Patricia Dullea. He and Heidi were married there on March 30, 1989. Edward served his country in the US Army in 1979 at Fort Devens, MA. He was a very proud veteran involved in American Legion and Team RWB West Point chapter events and activities. Edward was a diehard Army football fan. Go Army! Beat Navy! Following his time in the service, Edward was employed by the City of Peekskill as a Water and Sewer Superintendent until his retirement in 2016. In addition to his career and time spent in the Army, he volunteered time as a firefighter and was also a president and life member of the Cortlandt Hook & Ladder No. 1 in Peekskill, NY. Edward was active in church ministry and attended All Saints Lutheran Church in Lagrangeville, NY and Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fishkill, NY. An avid runner, he enjoyed participating in many 5ks and marathons over the years. Though Edward generously gave his time to these many activities and organizations, he was never too busy for his family. His greatest joys in life were his grandchildren and he treasured many wonderful memories of time spent with them. Friends and family are invited to the McHoul Funeral Home 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY for a period of visitation on Thursday, July 1st from 5 to 7 pm at which time a celebration of his life and his son Eddies will be held.
