Edward Anthony Eluere, 61, of Steinhatchee, FL passed away on April 8, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife Colleen; Edwards children Jamie Marie Burnett, David E. Eluere, and Steven Eluere; brother Carl (Ana) Eluere; sisters Theresa (Michael) Chastair and Debbie Eluere; his mother Donna Eluere; his in-laws Garry and Patty Lamb; daughter-in-law Dana Lamb; grandchildren Jason Ogden, Brooke Ogden, Summer Brigalia, Christopher Brigalia, Eli Brigalia; mother-in-law Mary Anne Settle; father-in-law Dennis Fetherbay; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Step-daughter Heather Brigalia Durapau; step-grandchildren Kaitlynn Delahoussaye, Makenna Durapau, Gracie Durapau, and Zechariah Durapau. He was predeceased by his father Edward John Eluere and step-son Chris Brigalia. Ed was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1978-1982. He was proud to be part of this brotherhood, and enjoyed sharing memories and experiences whenever he met a fellow Marine. Ed was an Over the Road truck driver for over 20 years with Crete Carrier Corporation in Lincoln Nebraska, and was particularly proud of working for a family owned company. He was voted "driver of the year" at the Deland, Florida Crete Terminal in 2018. Over the years, Ed had driven over two million miles and accumulated many safety awards.A memorial service will be held at a later date in Florida, at which time full military honors will be accorded.
