Edna L. Moulton

Edna L. Moulton, 79 of Homer and a former long-time resident of Newark Valley, passed away peacefully on Nov. 26, 2013. Edna is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Gerald H. Moulton and her devoted children: Dale (Donna) Moulton, Larry (Karen) Moulton, Michael (Rhonda) Moulton, Steven (Sara) Moulton, Nancy (Melvin) Smith, Sharon (James Reath) Schmidt; 5 granddaughters, 7 grandsons, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.She will also be greatly missed by her faithful canine companion, Reyes.In addition to her parents, Paul and Charlotte (Locke) Jacobs, she was predeceased by her brother, Rev. Dr. Norman Jacobs, sisters, Ruth Camilli, Virginia Downey and grandson Joshua Moulton.Edna was a devoted wife and mother who loved family time. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and for many years she and Gerald raised show rabbits. They attended nation- wide shows and made many friends over the years. She also served as secretary for the Broome County Rabbit Breeders Club. Ednas family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St, Newark Valley.
