Dora Elaine Bailey

Dora Elaine Bailey, 88, passed away on Wednesday evening, February 19, 2014 at the Riverview Manor Nursing Home. Dora is survived by her children: Harrison (Linda) Bailey, David (Debbie) Bailey, Steve Bailey, Larry (Julie) Bailey; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter; sisters-in-law: Helen Scott, Helen Bensley, Betty (Charlie) Young; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Dora was predeceased by her husband Harrison Bailey, Jr., brothers Laverne and Burton .Dora was born on May 10, 1925 in Owego a daughter of the late Ray and Bertha (Cooper) Scott. Dora was a member of The Gospel Chapel Church and retired from IBM. Dora enjoyed camping and being with her family.Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, February 22 from 2-4 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. Funeral services and a celebration of Doras life will follow at 4 pm. Interment and prayers of committal will be held in the spring in Woodbridge Cemetery.
