Donna Kay Arnold,

Newark Valley, NY

Donna Kay Arnold, 82, of Newark Valley, passed away peacefully at her home on February 18, 2025. Born on September 3, 1942, a daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn (Talcott) Hoskins Sr., Donna’s life was a rich tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the joy of simple pleasures.

She is survived by her children: Michelle and her husband Glen Faust, Richard and his wife Karen Arnold, Marlys and her husband Matthew Modica, and Gail Bozydaj. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Christopher, Evan, Rebecca, Nicole, Kayla, Heather, and Mindy, as well as her great-grandchildren Karena, Wallace, Destiny, Nataleigh, Mackenzie, and Isaiah, who will forever hold onto the wisdom and warmth she imparted.

Donna also leaves behind her dear brothers: Larry Hoskins, Rusty and his wife Dianne Hoskins, as well as her sister and best friend: Judy Smith. She will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Dean Gurney and sisters-in-law Judy Hoskins and Melissa Hoskins. Her special nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family will miss her sassy spirit and loving presence.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Harold Arnold, who she shared 43 years of loving marriage with until his passing in 2010. Donna was also predeceased by her siblings Cleo and her husband John Wood, Gary Hoskins, Shirley and her husband Raymond Guiles, Sharon Gurney, Raymond and his wife Betty Hoskins, Randy Hoskins, and Robert Hoskins, Jr., as well as her brother-in-law John DiStefano, and her special four-legged companion, Bella.

Donna's zest for life was contagious. Known for her sassy comments and quick wit, she could light up a room and bring a smile to anyone's face. Her interests were a reflection of her love for adventure and family. She delighted in "Gatoring" on her John Deere Gator, exploring trails on the hill with her sister Judy and her friend Jeanette Bailey. These joyful excursions were among her favorite pastimes.

An avid fan of the WWE, Donna never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite wrestler, Cody Rhodes. Her enthusiasm for the sport was matched only by her talent as a yodeler. Her melodic voice and playful yodels brought joy and entertainment to many gatherings, leaving lasting memories of merriment.

To describe Donna as loving and funny only scratches the surface of the remarkable woman she was. Her strength, compassion, and ability to find humor in the everyday made her an unforgettable force in the lives of those who knew her.
