Donamae Tiffany

DonaMae Tiffany, 82, of Ocala FL died Nov 14 2018 in the arms of her beloved husband, and in the company of her loving family. She was the only child of Aubrey C. and Glenis Mae (Warner) Hulslander of Newark Valley, NY. Dona graduated from Newark Valley High School in 1954 and married her sweetheart Doug on July 11, 1959, at the First Congregational Church of Newark Valley, NY. Rev. D. Glynn Lewis was honored to preside not only at her parents marriage but also at Doug and Donas marriage 25 years later. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Douglas S. Tiffany and their daughters, LoriLea and Ken Williams of Clover, SC and Patti Tiffany of Endicott, NY. The joys in her life grew to include her grandchildren, Sarah (Sean) Tolodziecki, Steven (Elizabeth) Williams, Suzanne (Justin) Lackey and Amanda (Benjamin) Young and her five great-grandsons, Simon and Jude Williams, Devin and Andrew Tolodziecki and Ashton Hughes. DonaMae lived in Newark Valley for 64 years where she served as treasurer of the Newark Valley Fire District (28 years) and as the first Town Court Clerk (11 years). For many years she was a member of the Board of Hope Cemetery Assoc, and kept excellent records as the cemetery Registrar. In addition to her family, DonaMaes greatest loves were working in her flower gardens, enjoying all of nature and traveling. She and Doug covered many miles throughout the states and Canada in their motor home accompanied by their German Shepherd, Beauty and their cat, Smokey. In 2000, they retired to Ocala, FL where she served on several committees for their Home Owners Association. Following a devastating stroke in December 2017, she and Doug have resided with Lori and Ken. Donas family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St Newark Valley on Wed. Nov. 21 from 1-4 pm.
