Donald Leroy Moshier

Donald LeRoy Moshier,71,of Lisle,formerly of Richford, passed away at his home on November 11, 2009. Don's family was at his side. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dolores (Hoffmier) Moshier; his sons, Donald (Debbie) Moshier, Jr.; Max (Janice) Moshier; his daughters, Donna (Ray) Smith, Delois "Peanuts" (Ethan) Hartenstein; sisters, Evelyn Ledesma, Betty Bentley, Violet (Ken) Stanton, Mary Ann Hillis, Jane (William) Pietri; 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald was predeceased by his daughter, Inza; and siblings, Richard and Emma. He was born on April 7, 1938 in Newark Valley, a son of the late Theodore and Marie (Tanner) Moshier. Don was a member of the Binghamton Roofer's Union and worked throughout the area. He enjoyed woodworking and crafting special lawn ornaments and with Dolores, operated D&D Crafts. He was a former member of the Richford Senior Citizen's. Don's family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. A Funeral Services will follow at 4 p.m. Pastor Larry Hendrickson, Spiritual Care Volunteer for Lourdes Hospice, will officiate.
