Donald L Krager

Donald Lee Krager, 67, of Newark Valley, NY passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023, at his home. He is survived by his mother Gladys Krager, sister Ruth Ann (Rick) Preston and brother Ronald Krager, daughter, Amy (Jared) Pado and son Jeff (Liza Osburn) Krager, grandchildren Cassidy, Bryson, Haley, Addysen and Kacie, several nieces, nephews and the mother of his children, Cindy Krager. He is predeceased by his father Kenneth Krager, brothers Steven Krager and Joeseph Krager, and son Branden Krager. Don was a graduate of Vestal High School. He was a former employee of Endicott Johnson Shoe Co., Atlantic Design and lastly with Callahan Construction. Affectionately known as Teflon by his many friends, he was always up to something! His happy-go-lucky attitude was at the forefront of everything he did. He was sure to make you smile, but also had a serious side. Don was more than willing to help anyone. For 34 years he participated in the local horseshoe league and several tournaments as well. From hunting, fishing, flying drones, playing softball, golfing or joining in on get-togethers with the Shirley Road neighborhood family Don was a busy man. But time with his grandchildren, whom he adored, was a must. A celebration of life will be planned in the future. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting the family.
