David W. Jackson, 68, of Newark Valley, passed away on February 4, 2026, at Wilson Regional Medical Center, following a period of declining health. ‘Dave’ as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was born on July 11, 1957, a son of the late William and Margaret (Thorn) Jackson.
Dave is survived by his son Cody Jackson and his girlfriend Taylor Tunnicliff, and their son Jett Jackson, as well as his siblings. Pete Jackson, Terri Morse, and Jean Jackson-Bolden.
In addition to his parents, Dave was predeceased by his canine companion and best friend Roofus.
Dave was the proud owner and operator of Dave Jackson’s Body Shop in Newark Valley, NY, for over 40 years, where he combined his love for cars with his exceptional handiness. His work was not just a job; it was a calling that he approached with joy and unparalleled dedication. Beyond his professional life, Dave had a love for racing. Over the years, Dave’s collection of trophies and awards would show his skill, determination, and excitement he took to each race.
Friends and family members are invited to a period of visitation on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig Street, Newark Valley, NY, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The family with gather privately for a service after.
