David C. Sisenstein

Newark Valley, NY

David C. Sisenstein, 69, passed away on Friday December 6, 2024 in his home in Newark Valley.

David was born on August 18, 1955 in Binghamton, NY, to the late Andrew and Cora Sisenstein. He was one of twelve children, preceded in death by his brothers Richard, Ron, Roger, and sister Judy Payne.

David was employed as a machinist at Omni Electro-Motive, Inc. in Newfield and New Visions Industries, Inc. in Endicott.

David enjoyed woodworking, playing horseshoes, cards, shooting pool, fishing, campfires, and nature. He loved walking in the woods and made friends with chipmunks every year with an endless supply of unsalted peanuts. He fed wild birds throughout the year by snow blowing a path to their feeders so he could refill them. He loved taking pictures and took many photos of family, sunsets, and animals that visited his yard. He was a gentle man with a kind heart and was known to laugh so hard tears would run down his face.

David is survived by his loving wife June of 34 years, his children David, Amanda, and Justin Sisenstein, his stepdaughter Susan Robinson and his beloved grand children Haley, Ryan, Fiona, Eamon, and Isis. David will be greatly missed by his brothers Andy, James, Stephen, and Tim, as well as his sisters Gloria Ward, Beverly Dryer, Carolyn Rose, sisters-in-law Joyce Przybyl, Caroline Sisenstein, daughter-in-law, Katie and his brothers-in-law Ray Payne, Robert Rose, and Don Ward, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A special thank you to the compassion and care hospice provided during this difficult time. Memories and condolences can be shared in Davids online guestbook at www.macphersonfh.com. The family is under the caring guidance of MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley.
