Darryl W. Reynolds

Darryl W. Reynolds, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2011 surrounded by his family. Darryl was born on October 13, 1934, in Salamanca, New York, a son of the late Walter F. and Lela M. (Smith) Reynolds. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Walter and Robert, and sister, Dawn Manners. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marjorie E. (Earley), his sons and daughter Darryl W. Jr. and Francine (Galli), Daniel P. and Nancy (Comstock), and Maureen and Joseph Quartararo, his grandchildren Joe and Thomasita, Jake, Michelle, and Jon, Evan and Jason, Kara and Colleen, brother David and Clara Reynolds, brother-in-law David and Arlene Manners, sister-in-law Maureen Reynolds, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout the country. Darryl was happiest in the company of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who made everyone he came in contact with feel as if they were old friends. Darryl was an electrical engineer employed by IBM in various locations around the country for 30 years. After retirement, he attended Hebron Ministerial Institute, where he later worked as an associate pastor and administrator. Darryl was a leader in many churches in the area and was a founding board member of Triumphant Life Church in Endwell, New York. He was an accomplished golfer, and had a life long passion for the outdoors. He was an avid sportsman and the number one fan at whatever event his grandchildren were involved in. A memorial celebration will be held at Triumphant Life Church, 1511 Davis Avenue, in Endwell, NY at 11am on Monday, April 11, 2011 with a luncheon immediately following.
