Daniel R. Robinson

Daniel R. Robinson, 90, passed peacefully on Nov. 25, 2011 at Cayuga Ridge Nursing Home, Ithaca where he had resided.Dan was born on May 14, 1921 in Ulysses, NY a son of Charles S. and Louise (Ryerson) Robinson. He was predeceased by his wife Virginia (Griffin) Robinson in 1995. Dan was a long-time employee of Howland Brothers in Berkshire and a member of the First Congregational Church of Berkshire. He was an avid and diverse reader who enjoyed living in his natural surroundings, taking long nature walks and gardening.Dan is survived by his long-time friends, James and Karen Willard, John and Joan Stoughton as well as his friends and co-workers from Howland Brothers.A period of visitation will be held from 6-7 pm Friday evening at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley followed by a celebration of his life at 7 PM. Rev. James Willard will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
