Daniel J. Craft

Daniel Danny J. Craft, 67, of Newark Valley, passed away peacefully on Feb. 17, 2016 following a long illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Danny is survived by his daughters, Nicole Ryan and Kim Craft; grandchildren, Natasha, Kara, Joshua, Tiffani, Charles, Hannah; great-grandchildren, Jasic, Katrina, Kiarra. Also surviving are his siblings: Jim (Lois) Mills, Burt (Pat) Craft, Randie (Susan) Craft, Ronnie (Michelle) Craft, Budd Craft, Eva Swansbrough, Anita (Pat) Burke, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Danny was born in Endicott on Jan. 27, 1949 a son of the late James and Esther (Carman) Craft. He was also predeceased by siblings, Fred and Neal Craft, Joanne Stanton and Janice Decker.He served in the US Army in Panama from 1967-1969. In his early years he was employed at Cornell University and then as a mechanic in Owego until he was struck with the debilitating disease, osteo-rheumatoid arthritis. In spite of this and the many other conflicts he was faced with, Danny was a thoughtful and very generous person. He would readily deprive himself to give to others. Danny will be forever missed and never forgotten.
