Daniel E. Austin

Daniel E. Austin,of Endicott, also known as Big Daddy Dano to his family and friends, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the age of 46. He is survived by his children; Nicholas, Jessica, Britney and Brandi; his sisters; Wanda Wasicki, and Debi Johnson, his former wife and mother of their children, Debra Austin. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and an extended family also survive. He will also be greatly missed by his special canine companion Booger. Dan was born May 22, 1964 a son of the late Edward(Bud) L. Austin and Gail J. Mack. He was a graduate of Union Endicott High School. Dan achieved his dream of earning his CDL license and very much enjoyed his cross country tractor trailer trips for Werner Enterprises. He was a great mechanic and a man with a huge heart, always willing to help others. Dad, You were always there for the three of us. Whenever we needed you, you never hesitated to drop what you were doing to comfort us. We love and miss you and could not have asked for anything more! Love, Chopper Do, Sessy and Boo.A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St. Newark Valley, on Tuesday, January 11th at 6 PM with a period of visitation from 5-6 PM.
