D. Joseph Ace

David Joseph Ace, Joe, 52, of Owego, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Feb. 11, 2017.Joe is survived by: his father, David B. Ace and his brother, Edward (Beth) Ace, his aunts Shirley Callahan and Wilma Ace, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his Mother, Ada Ruth Ace, his uncles George Ace and Joseph Callahan and cousins Laurel Ace and Michael Callahan. He was a graduate of Newark Valley High School class of 83 and Broome Community College where he earned his AA degree in Nursing. He also became quite fluent in Russian language. Joe was a deeply spiritual, hardworking and very caring young man. During the course of his late mothers illness, he provided her and his dad, with the best care possible. He was a former employee of BC/BS, IBM and Wilson Memorial Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 2 pm.His family will receive friends there one hour prior to the service.
