Connie J. Holcomb

Connie J. Holcomb, 70, of Speedsville and Berkshire, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 following a period of declining health. Connie was born in Ithaca on June 8, 1941 a daughter of the late Ralph and Betty (Berrells) Parlett. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Richard, son, James Mine, and husband Robert Holcomb. She is survived by her children: Rodney (Julie) Holcomb, Newton and Charlie Holcomb, Vicki (John) Beebe, Bobbijo (Heath) Hines, Florence Brooks, Jessie Micha, Roberta and Rebecca Holcomb; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, special loving caregivers, Louise Beebe and Angel Beebe and many special friends.Connie was a long time employee for the City of Ithaca. She enjoyed camping and bingo and was an expert swimmer. Her family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Thursday from 10-11 am. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will follow there at 11 am with Rev. James T. Willard officiating. Burial will follow in Speedsville Cemetery.
