Charolette Seamans, 81, a longtime resident of Berkshire, passed away peacefully in her home on January 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Charolette was born in Endicott, NY, the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Fish) Kuenzli. Charolette was affectionately known by her family as “GG,” “Gram,” and “Shashi,” and her sassy personality and quick wit will be missed by many.
Charolette is survived by her children: Deborah Gates, Matthew (Roseanne) Seamans, Steven (Karis) Seamans, and Randy Gates, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a large extended family. Her children would like to express a sincere thank you to the wonderful; care Charolette received from her caregivers, hospice, and her loving grandchildren Nikkia and Bobby.
Charolette’s heart was broken in 2010 with the passing of her husband and best friend Philip Seamans, who she is now reunited with along with her siblings Donna Bidwell and Irving Kuenzli.
Family was the cornerstone of Charolette's world. She relished in the time spent with her loved ones, creating memories that would be treasured forever. She was especially fond of trips with her sisters and family to Canada.
Charolette could often be found at the local bowling alley, where her competitive spirit and infectious laughter were a constant source of joy. Her admiration for Tiger Woods was well-known, as she followed his career with keen interest, celebrating his victories as if they were her own.
In every aspect of her life, Charolette Seamans was loving—a beacon of kindness and affection. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she has left behind, and her memory will continue to inspire love and laughter in the stories they share.
A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family at Marathon Cemetery with her grandson Dallas Seamans officiating. Memories and condolences can be shared in her guestbook at macphersonfh.com. The family is under the caring assistance of the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley.
