Charlotte M. Underwood

Charlotte Underwood, 54, of Berkshire, passed from this life to eternal joy with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2010. She was born in Ithaca on Feb. 22, 1956 to Lillian (Craycraft) Crandall and the late Arthur Crandall. In addition to her mother Lillian, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 21 years, Herbert Underwood, Sr., her children, Robert (Melissa) Karpensky, Maria (David) Guiles, James (Jessica) Karpensky, Kyle (Savannah) Karpensky, Herbert, Jr., Misty, Travis and Louis Underwood, stepdaughter, Sheri Howard; stepsons, Raymond and Vincent Karpensky; six grandchildren, Jordan Rupert, Chandler Guiles, Tiffany House, Alecia, Bailey and Nadya Karpensky; her siblings, Larry (June) Crandall, Linda (Dan) Welton, William Crandall, Henry (Lisa) Crandall, Maryann Crandall; her husbands parents, Thelma and Harry Underwood, Sr., and his siblings, Cindi (Tom) Perce, Harry (Samantha) Underwood, Darlene (Lyle) Weber, Jim (Tina) Perce. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Charlotte was a member of the Nanticoke Baptist Church and a kind and loving woman.Her family will receive their friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Nanticoke Baptist Church with Rev.
