Charles W. (Chod) HowlandFormerly of BerkshireCharles W. Howland, 95, passed away at his home in DeLand Fl, on Sunday, May 2, 2010.Born in Berkshire on Jan. 27, 1915, he was a son of the late Stephen B. and C. Loena (Allen) Howland.Charles has been a long time member of the First Congregational Church in Berkshire and was a co-owner and operator with his brother Wallace, of the Howland Brothers Company, Inc.in Berkshire.He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Marian Barden Howland, his son, Robert (Janet) Howland of Windsor and daughter, Shirley (Larry)Bean of Eustis, Fl. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the Berkshire Congregational Church on Sunday, April 23, 2010 at 2 PM with Rev.
