Charles G Zukowski

Charles G. Zukowski, 77, a life-long resident of Berkshire (Speedsville), passed away at his home on Feb. 24, 2017, with his family by his side.Chuck is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Gloria (Sherwood) Zukowski; his loving children Lorie (David) Pitcher, Randy (Wendy) Zukowski, and his cherished grandchildren Shelby (Devin) Beach, Matthew Pitcher and Kara Zukowski. Also surviving are his sisters: Marian Reynolds, Joyce Cortright-Rodriguez, sister-in-law, Alicia Zukowski and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Helen and brother Stanley. Chuck was proud to serve in the US Army from 1958-1964. He retired from Emerson Electronics, Ithaca, following 40 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, he greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping in addition to bowling, NASCAR, football and baseball. For 5 years, he was a volunteer Little League Coach for his sons team and greatly enjoyed following his children and grandchildren in their sports activities. Friends are invited to call at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Wednesday (Mar 1) from 11 am 12:45 pm. A Memorial Service will held at 1 pm with Military Honors Accorded.
