Charles D. 'Chaz' Hoyt

Charles David Hoyt, Jr., 46, of Endicott, NY went to be with his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on December 31, 2020. He was a son, brother, husband, and friend and will be greatly missed. Charles was born on October 23, 1974, the son of Charles D. and Loretta M. Hoyt. He was the baby of the family, having three older sisters- Rebecca Hoyt, Bonnie DiLorenzo (Jay) and Ellie Theurer (Jason). In addition to his parents Charles is also survived by his wife of 24 years, Sarah Hoyt, and her loving family: Mer and Joanna Barrett, Jessie (Margo) Barrett, Chris Barrett, as well as many nieces and nephews and his beloved god children. Charles graduated from Tioga Center High School, and tried his hand at many fields of interest. He worked as a machinist, a computer tech, and for a long time as an owner-operator of a big rig. He often would take his wife, mother, and father on trips around the country. Most recently, Charles found his niche as a security guard for Elmira College. Charles was a gun enthusiast. He took his second amendment rights very seriously and loved his country with all of his heart. He wasn't afraid to defend what was right and true and he was careful to listen to everyone's opinion. His interest in computers led him to a 3D printer which he used to make things for family and friends. Charles was gracious and willing to help all in need, and his kind heart will be greatly missed. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. MacPherson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
