Carolyn M. Masters

When tomorrow begins without me...don't ever think we are far apart...For every time you think of me I will be right here within your heart... Carolyn M. Masters, 81, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at her home in New York, New York. Carolyn was born on May 27, 1940, in Johnson City, NY, the daughter of the late Oscar and Evelyn (Dumont) Masters. Carolyn graduated from Johnson City High School and earned her Bachelors at Ladycliff College and received her Masters from Fordum University. For over fifty-three years, Carolyn shared her love of giving to others as a case manager and supervisor for the Childrens Aide Society. Carolyn was a devoted member of St. Jean Baptiste Church and most recently St. Vincent and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She treasured the friends she made at church and served as a Lector and was a Eucharistic minister. Her strong faith and caring ways will guide us through the days ahead. Carolyn will be dearly missed by her brother and sister-in-law: Joe and Gloria Masters; her sister Barbara Rogers; several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families also survive. She was predeceased by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Gerard LaClair, brother-in-law Russ Rogers, and nephew Joseph Michael Masters. Friends and family are invited to a period of visitation at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Saturday, April 9th, from 9:30 10:30 am at which time a Prayer Service will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the St. John the Evangelist Church of Newark Valley at 11 oclock with Rev. Jeffrey Galens officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest in Hope Cemetery.
