Carlton L. Bonham, Jr.

Carlton L. Bonham, Jr. 89, of Newark Valley, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents: Carlton, Sr. and Myrtie Bonham; brother, Gifford, sisters: Pearl Sullivan, Leila Walker, Elsie Bonham; and his loving wife of 57 years, Beverly L. Bonham.He is survived by his son and daughter in law: Ronald and Sharon Bonham, and his daughter and son-in-law: Carla and Ken Bird; his sister, Gladys Barber; his grandchildren: Lisa, Dale, Penny, Kenneth, Jr., Louis, Corey and Whitney Bird, Shannon and Stacie Bonham; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.Carlton was a graduate of Binghamton North High School and a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army. He was a retired employee of IBM, Owego and in his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation and sharing of memories at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Wed. Sept. 3 from 10-11:45 am.
