Carlos A. Falero, 75, of Newark Valley, NY passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021.He was predeceased by his parents, Wenceslao Falero, and Maria Victoria Morales. Carlos is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Marie E. Falero; his children Carlos Falero Jr., Victoria Falero, and Ernest Falero; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 6 siblings; and loyal canine companions Creme and Ginger.

Carlos proudly served in the United States Navy, and was honorably discharged in 1967. He always supported veterans organizations, making many donations over the years. Following his time in the Navy, he was employed by the phone company for over 30 years, and ended his career as the Vice President of CWA, retiring in 1999. Carlos married the love of his life, Marie, on October 28, 1967, and together built a wonderful life and beautiful family . He was a longtime resident of Newark Valley, and enjoyed being a part of the community for the past 29 years. Carlos was an avid motorcycle and gun enthusiast, and a shooting instructor. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and many other outdoor activities.. Above all else, he treasured his family. Carlos was a loving husband, dedicated and devoted father, beloved grandfather and great grandfather, and a loving brother. He will be immensely missed, but forever in our hearts and minds until the time we meet again.

Friends and family are invited to a period of visitation on Wednesday, October 13th from 4-6pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, with military honors accorded and a celebration of his life immediately following. Refreshments will be held at the Creekside Diner, 8088 State Route 38 Newark Valley, from 7:30 to 9pm. Memories and condolences may be written in his guestbook at macphersonfh.com.
