Brian R. Card, 45, of Richford, a man known for his love of the open road and the great outdoors, left this world on July 23, 2024. Born on July 16, 1979, the son of Vickey (Miner) Beebe and Dennis Card, Brian grew up with the steady love of his mother and father, as well as the nurturing presence of his stepmom, Shirley Card.
Brian spent his professional life as a skilled machinist at Courser Inc., where his attention to detail and craftsmanship were highly valued. Brian's dedication to his profession was paralleled only by his commitment to his loved ones.
A true adventurer at heart, Brian's passion for motorcycles and 4-wheeling spoke to his love of freedom and the thrill of the ride. His zest for life was evident to anyone who joined him on outdoor excursions, wood cutting, or around the glow of Friday night bonfires. Brian also had a competitive streak, which he channeled into spirited games of darts with friends and family.
Brian's absence leaves a void in the hearts of those he touched, but his spirit will live on in the memories of the roaring engines, the crackling of fires, and the laughter shared under the stars. He is survived by his mother, Vickey; father, Dennis; stepmom, Shirley; and girlfriend, Linda Jones, and his best friends Bruce Campbell, Jason Walker, and Mike Sackett, who, along with his extended family and friends, will continue to honor his legacy by living life to the fullest, as Brian always did. Brian was predeceased by his beloved grandfather Robert “Bob” Holcum.
Brian’s family will receive friends and relatives at MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig Street, Newark Valley, NY on Wednesday July 31, 2024, from 10 am – 11 am. A celebration of his life will follow at 11 am with Pastor Chris Corlett officiating. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.macphersonfh.com. In his journey through life, Brian taught us the importance of embracing every moment, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all.
