Bonnie Jean Jordan

Bonnie Jean (Harvey) Jordan, 78, passed away on May 13, 2024, in Cortland, NY. Bonnie was born on May 16, 1945, to Glenn and Harriet Harvey, in the Town of Caroline, NY. She attended Ithaca High School, cosmetology school in Utica, NY, then on July 11, 1964, she married Arthur Jordan, of Speedsville, NY.

Bonnie loved her family, made friends easily, was exceptionally out-going, funny, strong-willed, proud, independent, and brave. She endured a 40-year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis and survived the devastating loss of her daughter who was only 33. Bonnie accepted the cards she had been dealt with grace, humor, and dignity. She was not a complainer and despised having to ask for help.

Bonnie loved to talk to her boys, cook, bake, organize events, keep track of her friends, acquaintances, and family on FaceBook, go out for hot fudge sundaes, and play marathon card games with her friends at Creamery Hill Apartments in Harford, NY, where she very happily lived during the last few years of her life.

Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Arthur, her daughter Tammi, and her brother Dennis. She is survived by her brother Skip Harvey, her sons Michael (Jessica) of Lubbock, TX, and Anthony of Pheonix, AZ, five grandchildren (Kelsey, Kassidy, Jordan, Carver and Carson), four great-grandchildren (Ryland, Kinnon, Parker, and Chandler), several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, a multitude of nieces, nephews, great, and great-great, nieces and nephews, a group of devoted loving friends, and Arthur's cousin Brenda, who provided care and support for Bonnie during the final years of her life.

Bonnie will be cremated, and her ashes will be interred with her husbands. She requested no calling hours or funeral service be held. Memories and condolences can be shared in her guestbook at www.macphersonfh.com. The family is under the caring assistance of MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley.
