Robert E. Cornell, 68, of Berkshire, a beloved husband, brother, and friend, passed away on November 18, 2024. “Bob,” as he was affectionately known by his friends and family, was born on November 26, 1955, a son of the late Lester and Ellen (Keener) Cornell.

Bob is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kim (Terwilliger) Cornell, where together they built a life filled with joy and companionship. He also leaves behind his siblings Connie (Lee Foland) Cornell, John Cornell, his sister-in-law Diana (Leo) LaMontain, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a close friend Nicole Thompson.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother Albert Cornell.

For 32 years, Bob served the staff and students at Cornell University as a custodian, a role he performed with pride and diligence. His work ethic and friendly demeanor made him a well-respected member of the university community.

Beyond his professional life, Bob was an avid New York Yankees fan, never missing a game on TV and always ready to engage in lively discussions about the latest play. His passion for baseball was only rivaled by his love for coin collecting,

Those who knew Bob will remember him as a loving individual. His presence was a source of comfort and joy to those around him. Abiding Bob’s wishes, there will be no services.
