Blanche V Bartlett

Blanche V. Bartlett, 91, of Henrietta, NY and formerly of Owego, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 following a period of declining health. Blanche is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and John Brainard, of Henrietta, grandchildren: Jennifer Miritello, Nicole (Jason) Sheridan, Heather (Tom) Anschutz and Brian Bartlett; great grandchildren Adrianna, Ashley and Anthony Helms, Elaina Anschutz,newest grandchild Lincoln Sheridan and step grandson, Quinton Sheridan; great,great grandchildren: Ava, Aden, Sophia; stepgrandchildren: John Brainard, Jr., Jamie Brown and Christine Smith Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Blanche was one of ten children born to the late Armond and Ruth Vrooman. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Bartlett and son Larry Barlett, her siblings: Virgil, Andrew, Sam, Nelson, Ellsworth (Shorty) Alma, Mildred, Irene and Bertha (Berdie). She retired from Agway Petroleum in Owego where she was employed as a bookkeeper for many years. She also very proudly served as caretaker and record keeper for Hope Cemetery in Newark Valley and painstakingly hand drew and labeled each plot on large maps for the cemetery to use for many years to come. Following the passing of her beloved Jack, Blanch was able to remain in her home for many years because of the loving care provided by her nephew R J Bartlett who checked on her every day. Blanch was also a lover of nature and bird watching. She was able to enjoy this at her home as well as her last residence. Her life will be celebrated on a date in the future.
