Betty J. Wilkins

Betty J. Wilkins, 80, of Owego, passed away on May 10, 2011. She is survived by her family, whom she loved so very much; daughter, Linda (Gary) Campbell, son, Brian (Joanne) Wilkins, her 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Betty was born in Johnson City on Feb. 6, 1931. She was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Pearl (Ellis) Blenco, her husband, Grant D. Wilkins and her siblings, David, Roger and Joyce BlencoShe was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees and seldom missed watching a game. She also enjoyed outings and card games with her family, shopping, tending her plants and flowers and 'tickling the keys'. She could play almost any song with or without music. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Her family will receive friends on Thursday, from 7-9 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley. A Funeral Service and celebration of her life will be held there at 11 AM on Friday. Rev. James T. Willard will officiate. Burial will follow in Tioga Cemetery, Owego.
