Betty was a loving wife and mother, a proud grandma, and a wonderful homemaker. She was the 'queen of her kitchen', and used her gift of hospitality to put on elaborate get togethers where no detail was ever overlooked. Betty loved birds, flowers, and warm sunshine. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, embroidery, traveling, and tending to her birdfeeders. Always selfless and quick to forgive, Betty never missed an opportunity to cherish her family. Betty graduated with honors from Newark Valley High School Class of '49. She then worked in assembly and manufacturing at IBM Owego. Larry and Betty were lifelong members of the Central United Methodist Church in Endicott. Betty's family and friends are invited to a period of visitation at the MacPherson Funeral Home in Newark Valley on Saturday, July 20th from noon until 2 pm, at which time a celebration of her life will be held. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be written in Betty's guestbook at macphersonfh.com. .
