Betty C. Leifer

Betty Craft Leifer, 88, of Richford, NY, passed away on March 17, 2022. Betty is predeceased byher spouse, Dr. Ron Leifer. Betty is survived by her daughter, Lehana L. Doctor of Rochester,NY, along with Lehanas husband, Leroy and their daughters, Abria, Autumn, and Mandisa.Betty received her Masters in Special Education from Syracuse University. She worked as aschool teacher in the 1960s. She stopped working to travel in Europe and Mexico with herhusband before she adopted her daughter in 1970. She remained a stay-at-home parent andsettled into Richford. This is where she raised her daughter and discovered her passion forcultivating cannabis. She was an executive producer for the documentary "Cannabis Rising" inthe 1990s. Her creativity expanded in a lot of ways from designing and building her home inRichford, to knitting and sewing. But, first and foremost, she was a loving mother andgrandmother. She was truly a free spirit to all who knew her well. Memorial services will bedetermined at a later date.
