Barbara J. Ceurter

Barbara J. Ceurter, 75, of Berkshire passed away on June 8, 20916 following an illness. Born on May 11, 1941, Barbara was the daughter of the late William and Norma (Walters) Decker. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Wendy Tucker.Barb is survived by her husband of 36 years, Raymond Butch Ceurter; her sons: Robert (Deb) Bean, James (Heather) Bean and Ken (Tammy) Bean; her daughter, Cheryl Ceurter; her siblings: Linda (Joe) Bello, Penelope Penny Ward and William Decker. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Andrea, Jeffrey, Jacob, Aaron, Kayla, Tori-Lee, Kelse-Jo, Kayla, Taylor and Joree; step daughters Christina and Kimberly Ceurter and her mother-in-law, Ethel Ceurter.Barb was a graduate of Newark Valley High School and a long time employee of Tioga County Dept. of Social Services. She was a lifetime member of the Berkshire Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, an awesome cook and baker and loved her flower gardens.Her family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St, Newark Valley on Monday from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service and Celebration of Her Life will be held there on Tues. at 2 oclock with Rev. Jerry Platz officiating.
