Barbara A. Watkins

Barbara A. Watkins, 74, passed away suddenly on May 30, 2017 at Wilson Hospital.Barbara is survived by her loving husband and very best friend of more than 53 years, Lincoln Watkins and her cherished and devoted daughters: Leanne (Robert, Jr.) Berry, Jeanine (Brian Jones, Sr.) Watkins-Steinruck, her sister, Joan Yencho, and her precious grandchildren: Nicole, Michaella, Breanna, Connor and Garret. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive including her Godson, Joe (Mary)Pish and her special dear friends Hoby and Luanne Beebe and Shirley Chandler.Barb was a long-time member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Newark Valley and the very heart of her family. She loved to be with and dote on Linc, as well as being with her girls and grandkids. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, looked forward to shopping and searching for antiques, playing Dominos and 'Skip Bo', planning meals, parties and outings! And when there was an opportunity to help someone....Barbara was first in line.Barbara, Mom,... you are gone from our sight, but our memories of you will last forever.The Family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Monday from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held there on Tuesday at 9 am followed by burial in Highland Cemetery, Richford.
