Archie C. Nixon

Archie C. Nixon, 75, a well known life long resident and farmer in Richford, passed away on Jan. 3, 2016 following a long illness. Archie is survived by his sisters, Donna Hoyt of Richford and Ruth (Alfred)Crider of Austin TX, several nieces, nephews cousins and dear friends and caregivers Barbara and John Keener and family.Born on March 22, 1940 in Richford, he was a son of Albert E. and Dorothy (Hutchings) Nixon. Archie graduated from Newark Valley High School in 1961 and worked on the family farm in Richford for many years. He was also employed by Ward and VanScoy and Howland Brothers. Archie was a good man! Friends are invited to a period of visitation at the MacPherson Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 6 from noon until the start of the funeral service at 1 pm. Rev. James T. Willard will officiate.
