Born in New York City, April moved to the area as a child and has resided in Newark Valley for
more than 70 years. Following high school, she was employed at Parlor City Paper Box
Company until she met and married Ron, the love of her life. Throughout her life, she has
worked extremely hard and always with a joyful nature. In addition to raising their children, she
also spent many years working at Vestal Electronics, and as a receptionist at Liberty Mutual
Insurance. Her faith was steadfast and she was an active member of Most Holy Rosary Church
in Maine, where she chaired the Oktoberfest bake sale for decades. She has passed the torch on
to her daughter, Theresa.
April’s optimistic nature and loving heart was abounding. Always present for the people she
loved, she has left an indelible imprint on their hearts. Her children and grandchildren remember
well that she never missed one of their sporting events, concerts, or performances. Her family is
her pride and joy and her legacy.
