Aileen Pitcher, 101, of Newark Valley, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 21, 2015. Aileen is survived by her daughter Daisy Webber; grandchildren Joseph (Teresa) Webber, Donn (Susan) Webber, Dixie (Tracy) Sanders; great-grandchildren Joseph (Leah) Webber, Sarah (Michael) Buzzel, Meako (Joe) Beaulieu, Kimberly (Sean) ODonnell, BethAnn Aileen (Nathan) Jumper, Megan (Joshua) Diel, Allison (Nelvin) Celeste; great-great-grandchildren Rachel, Christian, Elijah, Liam, Sophia, Jo Jo, Jaycee, Dominic and his mother, Missy Webber, Kaidence and Ireland. She was predeceased by her husband, of over 70 years, Merritt Pitcher; her siblings; her son-in-law Donald Webber; and her great-grandson Jason Webber.Aileen lived a full life. A woman of great faith, she was blessed by the Lord with great family and friends. Always full of humor, she faced down adversity her whole life. She always put others needs before her own. She supported numerous charities and missionaries. She was a caregiver to many, including her husband, with whom she ran a successful apple and cherry farm.Aileens family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church in Newark Valley on Wednesday afternoon, November 25, from 1-2 pm. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Ben Baker officiating. In memory of Aileen Pitcher, memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church in Newark Valley, her home church of over 45 years.
