A. Richard Hammond, a true gentleman, born on February 23, 1943 passed on April 8, 2018. Rick was respected for his service in the Marine Corp , his talent as a custom gunsmith, and a dedicated teacher of Karate. Over the years he loved to spend time in his favorite hunting spot, and play his guitar. His love of music was proudly passed on to his family as it was passed on to him. He leaves behind his devoted wife, companion, and best friend, Valorie Hammond, his daughter Erica Hanson and grandchildren, Jacob, Jillianne, and Jenna and daughter Shina (Mike) Harris and grandchildren Mackenzie and Sullivan, his mother, Erma Nett, his sisters, Nola (Lloyd) Baird, Judy (Bob) Stoddart, and Susie Nett, his brother Ed (Mary) Hammond. He is predeceased by sister Linda Vina and his two fathers Edwin Nett and Alfred (Irene) Hammond. His family, extended family, and friends will remember him as a proud yet humble man always protective of his family and privacy. Rick will be fondly remembered and missed by many.
